Student and Postdoc Presentations at LG forum 2021

Last Friday (Oct 22nd, 2021) we have 3 PhD students and 1 postdoc from JT Zhang lab presented their research at 2021 Larry E. Gentry Fall Research Forum hosted by Department of Cancer Biology at University of Toledo Medical College.

LG Forum is named after Larry E. Gentry, PhD, who was an associate professor of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology department from 1986 to 1998 and was diagnosed with a brain tumor over eight years and struggled valiantly with his illness.

On the forum day students and postdocs who would like to present their research would give a 15 min short talk and another 5 min Q&A sessions. Besides short talks, we were glad to have a guest speaker this year, Changmeng Cai, Ph.D. associate professor from Center for Personalized Cancer Therapy at University of Massachusetts Boston who gave a presentation on omgenic activities of Lysine-specific demthylase 1 in cancer.

This year our lab have 4 presenters: Boqing Gu (Ph.D. candidate), Jackson Huang (Ph.D. candidate), Shreyasi Ganguly (Ph.D. candidate), and Shijie Ma (Postdoctoral Fellow).
